Trip Cancellation - Before Departure Insurance covers the non-refundable portion (such as deposits or cancellation charges) of your prepaid travel arrangements. It also allows you to recoup any cancellation penalties that a transportation carrier or tour operator may charge you.
Trip Interruption - After Departure Insurance covers the costs you would incur if you had to return home earlier or later than you had originally planned. It also reimburses you for any non-refundable portions of unused, prepaid travel arrangements.
Medical Emergency Medical insurance covers the reasonable and customary medical expenses you incur on your trip for necessary medical care or surgery, as part of the emergency treatment arising from a medical condition that is sudden and unexpected.
Baggage Baggage loss or damage insurance covers you for direct physical loss of, or damage to, the baggage and personal effects you own and use during your trip. Baggage delay covers you up to a maximum of $500, for the reasonable and necessary expenses you incur with respect to emergency purchases for the loss or delay of your checked luggage.
Purchase Security Purchase Security Insurance provides coverage for direct accidental physical loss or damage to personal property or gifts purchased on your RBC Credit Card and/or with RBC Rewards® points for either ninety (90) or one hundred and twenty (120) days from the date of purchase based on the coverage period on your specific card.
Extended Warranty Extended Warranty Insurance automatically doubles or triples the original manufacturer’s warranty up to a maximum extension of one (1) or two (2) years for personal property or gifts purchased on your RBC Credit Card and/or with RBC Rewards® points, based on the coverage period on your specific card.
Flight Delay Covers you, up to a maximum of $250 per day, for the reasonable and necessary expenses you incur as a result of a Missed Connection, Denied Boarding or Delayed Flight Departure. Reasonable and necessary expenses include hotel accommodation, restaurant meals, refreshments, emergency purchases and other sundry items (such as a magazine, paperback book and other such small items) for a maximum of forty-eight (48) hours or until reasonable alternative transportation is made available.
